OnePlus 6T Spotted on Russian EEC Indicating Imminent Launch

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is expected to launch a successor to the OnePlus 6 flagship device soon. Dubbed as OnePlus 6T, the smartphone has been in the news ever since it was revealed that that the Chinese maker is working on a new variant of the OnePlus 6. Now, the smartphone has been spotted on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), hinting that it may be launched soon. An earlier report had claimed that the upcoming device could be launched in October 2018, which is one month earlier than last year’s OnePlus 5T.

The OnePlus 6 Red Edition

The EEC has certified the OnePlus 6T in Russia with a handset bearing model number A6013. Notably, the OnePlus 6 was certified by TENAA and it carried a model number of A6000. So it has been speculated that the device with model number A6013 is the OnePlus 6T. The listing was first spotted by the folks at PhoneCorridor and apart from the certification, it does not reveal any other information about the device.

Coming to the design improvements of the OnePlus 6T over the OnePlus 6, the former is not expected to arrive with too many changes to the design but it will feature upgraded specifications than the OnePlus 6. The report claims that the OnePlus 6T may arrive with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. It may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC or a Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage space. It is also suggested that another variant with 256GB of inbuilt storage will also be rolled out.

A recent report also claims that US carrier T-Mobile has bagged exclusive carrier partnership with the OnePlus 6T in the US. An exclusive OnePLus 6T variant optimized for T-Mobile’s network is likely to be rolled out in the US. This means the device will support the 600MHz band that is used by T-Mobile in the US. Apart from that, the pricing details of the device have also been revealed in the report. The OnePlus 6T is expected to cost $550 (Rs 38,400 approximately).
