Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) Launched for Rs 29,990 in India; Sale to Begin from August 13

Samsung had unveiled two new tablets back in July, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 92018). While the former is a budget offering from the company, the latter is a flagship device and is likely to cost a lot more.

A report, just a few days back had claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) is expected to be launched in India shortly. The report also said that the device may be priced around Rs 30,000 for the LTE variant while the WiFi variant is likely to be made available sometime later. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) has been launched in the country at a price of Rs 29,990.

Coming to the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018), the tablet will be available for purchase starting August 13 from Samsung e-store, offline stores and also via ecommerce portal Flipkart. The pre-bookings of the device will start today. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) is available in two color variants of Urban Blue and Ebony Black.

As a part of the launch offers, Reliance Jio customers can get up to Rs 2,750 as cashback on purchasing the tablet. The cash back can be availed by recharging for Rs 198 or Rs 299 recharge packs. Additionally, Jio users will also get double data benefits on every recharge for four recharges.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) sports a 10.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels and 16:10 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450SoC with Adreno 506 GPU on top. The tablet boasts 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space which is further upgradable with the help of a micro-SD card up to a maximum of 400GB.

On the imaging front, it features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies. Both the cameras are capable of video recording at 1080p resolution. On the connectivity front, the tablet features Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and USB Type-C port. Powered by a massive 7,300mAh battery, the tablet runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.0 UI on top.
