Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) May Come with a Price tag of Rs 30,000 in India

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) which features a 10.5-inch display was announced in India last week, alongside the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. While the latter is a flagship device from the South Korean company, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) is a budget offering for users who do not want to spend a lot of money.

Since is a budget-centric country, it is being speculated that Samsung may attach an affordable price tag to the Galaxy Tab A (2018) to aid sales. As per a report by MySmartPrice, the Galaxy Tab A (2018) will be available in India at a price of Rs 30,000.

The report has also claimed that the LTE variant of the device carrying model number SM-T595NZBA will be launched in the country first. The WiFi variant is expected to be made available later although an official announcement regarding the availability of these two devices is yet to be made.

To recall the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) features a 10.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. As it is a budget offering from the company, it does not feature an AMOLED display screen.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450 SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space. In terms of imaging, it features an 8-megapixel sensor on the rear panel with an aperture of f/1.9 and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front with an aperture of f/2.2. Both the cameras can be used for recording videos at 1080p HD resolution.

Connectivity options in the tablet include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C port. Powered by a massive 7,300mAh battery under the hood that supports Quick Charge 3.0, the tablet runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.0 on top.  It also includes a Kids Mode which will help the parents to monitor their kid’s usage time on the tablet.
