Microsoft Surface Go, the affordable Windows tablet which was launched in a WiFi only model back in July, has now received an LTE variant. The Microsoft Surface Go LTE variant has been launched with a price tag of $679 for end consumers and $729 for business users. The device is currently available for pre-orders in the USA and is set to go on sale on November 20 in the US and Canada. Apart from these two countries, the device will be available for purchase in 21 other countries starting November 22.
Coming to the specifications, the base variant of the Microsoft Surface Go LTE variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The business model, on the other hand, comes with 256GB of inbuilt storage and is available at a price of $829. It may be recalled that the Windows-powered Surface Go with WiFi connectivity was launched in the US in July in two configurations. One variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage and the other variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage space. The base variant had a price tag of $399 while the premium variant was priced at $549.
Customers willing to purchase the LTE variant of the Surface Go can pre-order them by visiting the Microsoft Store, although it will be available only in the US and Canada followed by 21 other countries. As far as India is concerned, the company is yet to make an announcement of availability in the country but we are expecting more information to surface in the coming days.
Coming to the specifications, the Surface Go runs on Windows 10 S out of the box and is upgradable to Windows 10. It features a 10-inch PixelSense display along with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It is powered by a seventh generation Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y processor, coupled with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM. The tablet comes with an optional keyboard cover and a Surface Pen to make it look like a computer.
