Honor, which is the sub-brand of the smartphone giant Huawei, is planning to bring its popular Honor 8 Pro smartphone to India in the first week of July. This new smartphone was actually first launched in Russia and India may well be the second country to get the new device. Sources suggest that a fourth generation dual camera technology will be shipped on the device. This will also improve the camera’s performance as well. The smartphone is essentially the Honor V9, which was launched in China.
Essentially, this is the same smartphone which was launched as the Honor V9, first launched in China.
A report by The Mobile Indian quoted Allen Wang, the Director of Product Center, Huawei India Consumer Business Group as saying,“The smartphone will come with a competitive price and it will be available through online channels.” This means that the Honor is serious about its business prospects in India.
Honor 8 Pro Specs and Features
Reports on Huawei’s Russian website suggests that the new Honor 8 Pro will offer a dual-camera set on the rear. It will have two 12-megapixel sensors with support for 4K recording at 30 frames per second. For good measure, it also comes with an 8-megapixel front camera for decent selfies and excellent video calling.
The device has a lot of very good features. On offer is a 5.7-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels apart from a pixel density of 515ppi. The in-house developed Kirin 960 octa-core processor powers the device and the storage options are 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further raised to128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. We do not know, however, which version will ship to India.
The device will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 3900mAh battery. The dimensions are 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and the device weighs 184 grams. The smartphone support 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-SIM, and an infrared sensor as well.
