South Korean tech giant Samsung has been on a price cut mission lately to make its range of smartphones more affordable to the people and also to combat the stiff competition it faces from Chinese smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo. As per reports, the company has now slashed the price of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo to make it available at Rs 12,990 only.
The device was launched in April this year at a price of Rs 16,990 which was later revised to Rs 15,990 after a price cut of Rs 1,000. Earlier this month, it received a further price cut of Rs 2,000 to bring down the price to Rs 13,990. Now, it has received yet another price cut of Rs 1,000 to bring the price to Rs 12,990.
According to Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo is now available for Rs 12,990 from the official Samsung online store and Amazon India. However, ecommerce site Flipkart is yet to revise the price of the smartphone and it is currently selling it at the old price of Rs 13,990. The price drop by the company will enable the Galaxy J7 Duo to compete with Chinese smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Oppo Realme 1 and more.
In addition to the price cut, buyers can also avail no-cost EMI options online as a part of the sale offer on account of Independence. However, it is not known whether this offer is a limited period one or will continue permanently.
To recall the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo features a 5.5-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space. The storage can be further upgraded with a micro-SD card up to a maximum of 256GB.
