Samsung has slashed the price of two of its recently launched smartphones in India. While the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star which was available at an original price of Rs 34,990 has received a price cut of Rs 5000 and is now available for Rs 29,990, the Samsung Galaxy A6+ has received a price cut of Rs 3,000 and is now available for Rs 18,990. The smartphone was originally priced at Rs 21,990 during its launch.
Coming to the availability of these smartphones, both these devices are now available on the online Samsung store as well as e-commerce retailers like Amazon India and Flipkart. Both the smartphones have been listed on these sites with the new price tag so you can head to any of these sites to order them online.
To recall the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star was launched in June this year and its sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ AMOLED display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The internal storage can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card.
On the optics front, the device features a dual rear camera module comprising of a 16-megapixel primary and a 24-megapixel secondary sensor accompanied by an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 24-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top.
The Samsung Galaxy A6+ on the other hand sports a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be further upgraded with a micro-SD card.
On the optics front, the Samsung Galaxy A6+ features a dual rear camera module comprising of a 16-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, it features a 24-megapixel sensor for selfies. Backed by a 3,500mAh battery, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
