God of War: Chains of Olympus
Developed by Ready at dawn, this is a third-person action-adventure video game that had been first released for the PSP in 2008. The game is the fourth installment in the God of War series. Chronologically the game falls second in the series and is a prequel to the actual God of War.
The story is set in ancient Greece and is based on Greek mythology with vengeance being the central motif. The users play the role of Kratos, a Spartan warrior who sever the Olympian Gods. Its a combat based game where the player gets to use a fantastic weapon called the Blades of Chaos. Upon it release, 1Up stated that Chains of Olympus is “arguably the best-looking game on the system.” In America, the game the highest composite score for a PSP title from Metacritic and GameRankings.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Produced by Konami and Kojima Productions, its an action-adventure stealth video game that was released for the PlayStation Portable back in 2010. Made specifically for PSP, the Peace Walker the third game in the Metal Gear series and is a sequel to Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and its stand-alone expansion Portable Ops Plus.
Directed by the the series creator Hideo Kojima, the game is set in the year 1974 in Costa Rica and revolves around the protagonist Big Ross who was prevuiosly known as Naked Snake in Snake Eater and Portable Ops. He runs the mercenary unit Militaires Sans Frontières (meaning Soldiers Without Borders). Upon its released the Peace Walker received critical acclaim. It is one of the best psp games which are currently available in the market.
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
Developed by SIE Bend Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, its a third-person shooter stealth video game. The game is a sequel to Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain. The plot revolves around a mysterious operation at an Alaskan oil reserve. We have Gabe Logan investigating the mystery when he gets quickly sucked in something deep and had to go about trying to save everyone around the globe.
Tetris
Originally designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov, a Russian gane designer, the tile-matching puzzle video game was relaeased in 1984. The game is more or less availabel for nearly every video game console and computer operating system that’s available in the world right now. Since its launch, the game has sold approximately 70 million physical copies and with more than 100 million copies on mobile phones.
The game basically involves games pieces of various geometric pieces to randomly fall down and the players has to move it in a way so that it fills the ground without leaving a space in between. As players progress through the different levels, the pieces falls faster and faster.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Developed by by Rockstar Leeds, its an open-world action-adventure video game that was released in the year 2009. The game can be played not just on PlayStation Portable, but also on iOS, Android and Fire OS devices. At present, Chinatown Wars is currently the second best reviewed PSP game on Metacritic and the best reviewed Nintendo DS game. Chinatown Wars is the thirteenth game in the series and revolves around Huang Lee when he arrives by plane in the Liberty City. He is the spoiled son of the murdered Traid boss. apparently the game contains over 900,000 lines of “hand-optimized” codes.
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
Developed by Rockstar Leeds, the open world action-adventure video game was released in 2005. It is a prequel to to Grand Theft Auto III and is the ninth game in the Grand Theft Auto series. The game is about a man named Antonio “Toni” Cipriani, who after having killed someone went into hiding abroad. All hell goes loose when he decides to return to the Liberty City. Liberty City Stories has sold around 8 million copies and a 9.0/10 rating from IGN making it as one of the best psp games of all time history.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable
Developed by Atlus, the role-playing video game was originally published in 2006 on the PlayStation 2 and for PlayStation Portable in the year 2009. The game has got an option to play as a female character. Although the gender choice is likely to alter some aspects of the Social Link stories, with new story elements and music, and a new interface designed exclusively for the PSP. In Persona 3, the player gets to play the role of a high-school student who joins the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES) in order to investigate the Dark Hour which is a time period between one day and the next. When it was released, Shane Bettenhausen of 1UP.com called the game “the best RPG hitting the PS2 this year.”
Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Developed by Square Enix 1st Production Department, the game is both a prequel and remake of Dissidia Final Fantasy. Released in 2011, the games revolves round the twelfth war between the gods Chaos and Cosmos, in which the latter is able to summon warriors to fight for him. Fights in Dissidia 012 has this unique feature where the player can counter the enemies attacks by using assisting characters. When a player ends the twelfth cycle the game remakes the thirteenth war from the original Dissidia Final Fantasy. After which it ends up adding multiple side stories. After Duodecim Final Fantasy came out, several publication called the game one of the best PlayStation Portable games.
Angry Birds
This world popular game was released by Crush the Castle in 2009 for Apple iOS. The franchise has since been expanded the game to various platform including PSP. The game is primarily praised for its incredible combination of fun gameplay, comical style, and low price. Currently Angry Bird has a televised cartoon series as well as a feature film. In the game players can launch squawking birds into the enemy fortresses and shatter them, unleash the Angry Birds’ special abilities to smash the pigs’ defences and unlock rewards, and do other exciting things.

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection
The Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection is basically a compilation of Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, as well as inal Fantasy IV Interlude. Launched in 2011, the game had sold over 198,000 copies in Japan. It is set roughly one year after the original game. Upon its release, the game was highly praised. IGN gave it a rating of 9 out of 10 saying that if “you haven’t played Final Fantasy IV, are a fan of RPGs, and don’t find yourself utterly impressed with the game, I will be surprised.” In short this game deserves to stay at this exclusive list of 9+1 best psp games of all time history.
