After the launch of the flagship Galaxy Note7 in India, Samsung has big plans to release an affordable mid-price range phablet( phone+tablet) in the country. Plans of launching a “Pro” series device with a massive 5,000mAh battery in September has been doing the rounds, and rumors suggest that Galaxy A9 Pro is the very device the above speculations are pinpointed towards.

The Galaxy A9 Pro was rumored to get launched along with Galaxy Note7 on Aug. 11, but it never materialized, but it looks like the phablet will finally hit the stores next month.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts two Regular SIMs. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, FM, 3G, 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. It is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro packs a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The phone comes with a 6.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels and runs Android Marshmallow and is also powered by a 5000mAh nonremovable battery.

The 16MP camera features a wide range of inbuilt options such as Auto Flash, Continuos Shooting, Exposure compensation, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), ISO control, Touch to focus and White balance presets. The phone records full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) videos @30fps. The device is stacked with an 8MP front snapper which can be used for clicking selfie pictures and video calling via different apps. To store data, the users can make good use of 32GB internal memory which is further expandable to 128GB.
