HTC Desire 10 Pro With 20MP Rear Camera Launched in India at Rs.26,490

HTC had its launch event in New Delhi earlier today where the tech giants launched their latest smartphone, the HTC Desire 10 Pro in India. The company also announced that it would launch its latest smartphone – the HTC 10 Evo – in the country by the end of December. The HTC Desire 10 Pro is slated to feature a matte finish with gold accents, while the Desire 10 Evo has an all-metal construction that looks similar to HTC’s 2015 flagship. The Desire 10 Evo also became the first smartphone to offer Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box in India, after Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL.

Hardware and Software Specifications

The Desire 10 Pro sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 400ppi and Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is MediaTek’s 64-bit Helio P10 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The HTC Desire 10 Pro was launched globally in two variants – 3GB of RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB of RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage – HTC is only bringing the latter variant to India with the option of expanding the on board memory of the device up to 2TB via micro-SD cards. One of the highlights of the smartphone, is the support for 24-bit Hi-Res audio and Dolby-enhanced BoomSound speakers.

The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) sports a fingerprint sensor and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s Sense UI on top. The device measures 156.5x76x7.86mm and weighs 165 grams.

On the optics front, the company claims that the camera on this new smartphone will provide users with DSLR-like control on photos. The HTC Desire 10 Pro sports a 20-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, a BSI sensor, a f/2.2 aperture, and Auto HDR mode. For selfies and video calling purposes, the device also sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with a BSI sensor, a f/2.2 aperture, and Auto HDR which can take panoramic selfies of up to 150 degrees.

Battery and Connectivity Specifications

The HTC Desire 10 Pro Houses a 3000mAh battery that’s rated to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time on 3G networks. Connectivity options for the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and 4G LTE Cat. 6 (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).

Price and Availability

The HTC Desire 10 Pro has been priced at Rs. 26,490 (MOP), and will become available from the December 15 in the country across all channels including retail stores and online E-commerce platforms like Flipkart or Amazon. the device will be available in Valentine Lux, Stone Black, Royal Blue, and Polar White coloured variants.
