It has been a short while that Nokia has come up once again in the headlines of the news from the field of electronic gadgets. And the latest one concerns a new smartphone device from the Nokia which appeared on the website of Geekbench benchmark testing centre. It also reveals that the upcoming smartphone Nokia Z2 Plus is going to be an Android device with some striking features.
Since the taking over of Nokia by Microsoft a few years back, we have not seen anything from the Finland-based brand. Even before that, we have mostly seen smartphones coming from Nokia used to have a Windows operating system. But the one in the news that is the Nokia Z2 Plus is going to be an Android device. And the revelation has been made on the website of Geekbench where the device has been found to be having a good rating.
In the scores revealed on the Geekbench, we can see that the Nokia Z2 Plus has scored 2156 points in the single-core testing which promises the fact that the device is going to be a high-end one. The Nokia Z2 Plus received 5217 points in the multi-core testing which is a formidable score as well.
The benchmark testing has also revealed that the Nokia Z2 Plus is going to have MSM 8996 as its motherboard which could be the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor. The device is also expected to be running on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The benchmarking testing has also revealed that the device is going to come out with a 4 GB RAM as revealed by the Gizmochina.
Besides all that have been revealed on the website of Geekbench, leaked images of the two Android smartphones have been revealed on the social media. A couple of images have shown that the two smartphones will be having an all-metal body. The casing of the phones, one of which is likely to be the Nokia Z2 Plus, also has a fused antenna band design. And this makes it look very much like the Apple iPhone 7 and the Oppo R9S.
However, all the specs are in rumours except the ones revealed by the Geekbench. But very little has been when these two smartphones are coming out. Rumours have revealed that Nokia led by HMD Global will launch the new Android smartphones in the month March in 2017. But nothing has confirmed. So we have to keep on waiting for the official news to come in and we might not have to wait long for that.
