Xiaomi has set the world of electronic gadget on fire as they unveiled their latest laptop with some incredible features. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G has finally been launched and is expected to become one of the best in the recent times at that particular price range. It is the first laptop from the house of Xiaomi whose arrival has just been a matter of time with the all the rumours and news updates coming in at a regular interval.
Now with the release having officially taken place we can have a look at the much rumours features of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G. The highlighting feature of the device is going to be its configurations under the hood. The laptop has been unveiled with a couple of variants as far as the RAM of the device is concerned. The lower end 12.5-inch device has a RAM of 4 GB and 128 GB SSD storage. The laptop runs on a Windows 10 operating system and has Core M3 processor. As the report in the GSMArena suggests this pair of laptops are actually revamped versions of the previously released Mi Air Notebook. The only update has come with the inclusion of the 4G connectivity.
The higher end version of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G comes with a 13.3-inch screen. Under the hood, the device features an Intel Core i5 processor as reported by a number of media houses. However, The India Today has revealed that the laptop comes with an Intel Core i7 processor. This one also runs on a Windows 10 operating system. However, the eye-catching factor of this one is the 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM and the 256 GB SSD storage. The device is also equipped with a 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 940MX graphics card.
Both the laptops launched by Xiaomi are very light as far as their weight is concerned. The 12.5-inch version weighs around 1.07 kg while the 13.3-inch one weighs about 1.28 kg. Considering the size of the laptops, this sounds pretty good for the users who always prefer lightweight mobile devices. However, reports have suggested that there is lots of room where the China-based brand can make some improvements. And one of those is definitely the display. The lately launched Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G laptops come with TN screens while most of the high-end laptops come with IPS display which makes things look much brighter and clearer. Hence despite providing such great features, there are few things which Xiaomi should look out before manufacturing the next edition of laptops.
Regarding the price it can be said that the laptops come with a reasonable price tag. The 12.5-inch Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G costs 4,699 Yuan which is about 46,000 INR. The other one comes with a price tag of 6,999 Yuan which when converted to Indian currency reads 68,000. Thus it doesn’t sound too costly for the users who are looking for some upgraded laptops.
With the release being held we have now got the first looks of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G. Now what remains to be seen is how the laptops fare when they put to daily usage. It is revealed that the expectations are very high. And chances are less that it will turn out to be a disappointment.
