Here we’ll discuss the all glorious upcoming iOS 11.

iOS 11

iOS 11 Release Date

Apple’s iOS 10 was released in September 2016. To recall the beta versions have been floating since it was unveiled in July. This isn’t just the case of iOS 10; Apple has been following this pattern for long. Now following the same pattern we are speculating that the iOS 11 will officially release in September 2017 and the beta versions will be available before that, from around June.

iOS 11 Features

iOS 11 is a long way coming, and as of now, we have no official word on Apple OS. The features listed below are probable ones, or you can say wishlists. We have tried to forecast these iOS 11 Features after making a thorough analysis of all the previous versions of Apple’s own operating system.

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality is the next big thing in the world of technology. There is a huge demand globally for everything related to VR. As we know with iOS 10, Apple has not integrated VR to make the iPhones compatible with virtual reality technology. But we can definitely expect the iOS 11 to come with the technology.

Safer Apple Pay

Apple’s digital wallet Apple Pay is a great marketplace to buy Apple’s latest products. It’s significant to make the wallet hack-proof and error-proof. As we know, hackers have already devised ways to customers’ credit and debit card information from the Apple Pay users. It’s important to feel safe when we are using the service. We only expect the best from Apple and would expect to tighten the security of Apple pay.

Siri

If rumours are to be believed, then OS 11 is going is going to be a game changer. A more efficient Siri is obvious. It has now become a part of Mac, and we’d like it to go further, offer more features that’ll make our lives easier and more connected. Siri has now become compatible with only a handful of third party apps. With iOS 11 we’d expect the OS to be compatible with a wide range of apps.

Doze Mode

Google Android M OS has introduced the Doze-Mode that helps saving battery when the handset is stationary, and the screen is off. It’ll be great to have the feature in the upcoming iOS 11. The smartphone should be able to save battery power when the phone is not used for a prolonged period of time.

Direct Reply of Notifications

The smartphone should be able to save time while providing a smooth experience. Being able to reply from the notifications will make our lives easier. The service is already available for Android users to reply directly from the notification, without opening the app. Although the service is available on iMessage, it’d be great if the service is incorporated in iOS 11. So that all third party apps like WhatsApp and Messenger can easily reply from the notifications.

Smart Sleep

The iOS 11 is likely to introduce a new feature called the Smart Sleep Lyrics Support, Equalizer Support, Custom EQ for song lovers. As for now, we don’t have much information about this feature.

Change in Quick Settings

Although Apple has updated the Control Center and has made it more user-friendly, customizable and easier to fiddle with through iOS 10, but the US-based tech giant still has not given the full authority to the user to personalise the handset as their wish. Like on iOS 10, you will notice the  Airplane Mode first on the Control Center, and you can not change it how much you want to do it. On the contradictory, Google allows its users to personalise the Control Center with full freedom. If you possess an Android & based smartphone, you can switch the first option to Bluetooth, Cast, Flashlight or whatever the you wish to select. So we hope, with the iOS 11, Apple will also come up with the same idea and will allow the freedom to switch between quick settings

iOS 11 Concept

This concept video shows the iOS 11 packed with incredible features like Camera API Recognition, Multiple users on iPad, iPad Pro Xcode ( Swift ), Customizable Control Center, Minimized Apps on iPad, 3D Touch speed dial, Fingerprint to enable changes in Settings, Adaptive Dark UI, etc. iOS 11 already looks so much better than the iOS 10.

Prior to the launch of iOS 10, we noticed how fans often asked about the OS’s compatibility. As for iOS 11 compatibility, it’s likely that the latest Apple devices will in the radar. The devices that will be having the operating system when it launches are the iPhones, iPads and the iPods. All iPhones which fall under the iPhone 5 series or up, should be compatible. Besides the iPhone, other devices that’ll be compatible with the iOS 11 are iPad Mini 3 and higher models and the iPod Touch 6th Generation.
