Nubia, which is ZTE’s sub-brand, is launching a new dual rear camera on April 6. We have reason to believe that the new device will be the Nubia Z17. Nubia’s last launch was a week earlier on March 21. But the Nubia z17 was not launched on that date. Instead, we were treated to the M2, M2 Lite, and N2. Now, with reports of a new dual rear camera smartphone being on the cards, this might just be the Nubia Z17. This will be Nubia’s first device with such superb camera capabilities.
We do not have any concrete evidence on how the new dual rear cameras will work. However, we do know that the quality 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensors are to be expected at the rear. Come to the front and we expect that a 16-megapixel selfie camera to be featured.
Nubia Z17 Specs and Features
The new Nubia Z17 mini will come with a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display. We have also received news that two combinations of RAM and storage will be on offer. The processors will also be different. The base variant of the new Nubia Z17 mini will come equipped with 4GB of RAM and will feature the outdated Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 chipset. The better/higher variant of the Nubia Z17 mini is expected to arrive with a whopping 6GB of RAM and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 chipset, which needs an improvement. Both of these variants are expected to come with 64GB of onboard or native storage.
Other features of the Nubia Z17 are solid, if not exceptional. We expect the flavour of the season, theUSB Type-C port, to be featured in line with other smartphones. The new smartphone may well be powered by a 3,000mAh battery which will also support Quick Charge 3.0 technology. In fact, the new phone’s TENAA listing shows a 2,930mAh battery and is also evidence that it will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The first model, leaked on Weibo, showed a white color option with thin bezels. The new smartphone comes with a pill-shaped home button which will also act as a fingerprint sensor. This is the first Nubia device to come with a fingerprint sensor. The price is not known at the moment.
