NuggMD Launches Online New York Medical Marijuana Exams

New York State has a legal medical marijuana program in place, but as of now, access to this program was the issue. Patients who would qualify for the program did not know how to find a doctor to issue a medical marijuana recommendation card. And when they did find a doctor, patients would sometimes need to drive across New York State to go to their appointment.

NuggMD, is fixing this problem and improving access in New York State by connecting patients and licensed doctors through an online telemedicine portal.

NuggMD has already helped more than 40,000 California patients with online medical marijuana exams and now their New York State launch, they are on their way to do the same in New York State.

“Although New York approved medical marijuana in 2014; barely 14,000 people legally have access to it because of restrictions on the visibility and number of doctors. This is a trend we’ve seen across the board in states with new marijuana laws on the books. Access should be feasible, but it’s not, and we’re going to change that; our network of cannabis-expert doctors will accelerate that change better than anyone else,” says Collin Mann, CEO at NuggMD.

In New York, you will qualify for Medical Marijuana; if you have cancer, HIV infection or AIDS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with objective neurological indication of intractable spasticity, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathies, Huntington’s disease, and chronic pain .
