After waiting for months and months anticipating the release of Samsung Galaxy 8 and Galaxy 8 Plus, both the models are getting launched in India today as Samsung unveils its latest flagship.
Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD+Super AMOLED display. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will feature a 6.2-inch Quad HD+Super AMOLED display. While the former will have a 3,000mAh battery, the latter will come with a 3,500mAh battery. Both the devices will have 18:9 aspect ratio, which has also been seen its contemporary rival, LG G6, and will offer a bezel-less design. The models will be powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 8895 (2.35GHz Quad+1.9GHz Quad) processor.
Both the models will also come with Samsung DeX, Gear VR and a Gear 360 camera.
The S8 model will have 4GB RAM along with 64GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 256GB, with the help of microSD support. In order to take the full experience of display on both the models, you need to go to your display options and increase the resolution from 2220*1080 to 2960*1440.
Speaking of its security option, it not only provides fingerprint scanner but its offers face and iris registration for three different biometric security options.
The S8 model also includes a handy device management function with the help of which you can keep a tab on how much memory you are currently using, the phone’s battery status and the amount of available storage. There is an option to clean out unnecessary background apps, while another button lets you choose from various power modes, which includes optimized, game, performance, and entertainment.
Coming to the price, Samsung Galaxy S8 has been priced at $720, which is around Rs. 46,500 in Indian value, while Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has been priced at $840, which is around Rs. 54,200 in Indian value, as per Hindustan Times.
