Videocon Launches Delite 11+, New Budget Smartphone, at Rs 5800

Videocon, the leading Indian consumer electronics manufacturer, today launched the new Videocon Delite 11+. Launched in the budget smartphone category, the new device is appealing not only on the price factor but also on the specs and features yardstick. The new smartphone has a 5-inch touchscreen display and is priced at a low price point of Rs 5800.

The new Videocon Delite 11+ carries a 5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The new phone will be powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor. The new smartphone will come with a decent 1GB of RAM. The new phone packs a small punch with a native or internal storage capacity of 8GB. This native storage can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Come to the cameras f the new Videocon Delite 11+ and we see that the rear or primary camera duties are admirably performed by the 5-megapixel primary camera. The front snapper is a disappointing 2-megapixel one which does not allow for great selfies, let’s admit it. We have also come across several similarly-priced phones which have the same or equivalent features which have better features and better cameras which make us wonder if we are being short-changed by Videocon.

The Videocon Delite 11+ has been seen to run on Android 6.0. Powered by a decent 3000mAh removable battery, the new device measures small enough to fit in a small hand easily. The dimensions are 146.00 x 74.00 x 10.00 (height x width x thickness) .

The Videocon Delite 11+ will be introduced as a dual SIM (GSM with GSM) smartphone which will also accept Micro-SIM and Micro-SIM. Other connectivity options on the new Videocon Delite 11+ include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and will also support 3G and 4G Internet services (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). The new Videocon Delite 11+ will have an array of sensors on the phone including a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, and an ambient light sensor. The one saving grace about the new device is the removable battery which is well received.
