The users of Asus wearables got quite elated right after the official Twitter handle of Asus UK posted that they would be launching the Android Wear 2.0 for its ZenWatch 3. Some of the people already got the digital watch upgraded to the OS while some people certainly have to wait for the software to get equipped with their smartwatches.
Reports say that the OS update for the ZenWatch 3, for now, is only available for the UK users and its availability in the other regions has not been mentioned until now. Now that the users will get a chance of upgrading their smartwatches to the Android Wear 2.0 operating system, it is quite certain that they would get to see few changes in the features of the device.
Asus UK is trying to differentiate between the smartphones and the smartwatches, earlier, the user could conjoin both the devices due to which the smartwatch could function according to the phone. But no, it seems that the need of conjoining the devices won’t be a necessity.
There could be a change in the notifications as well but sources say that the update won’t feature the Android pay support because the ZenWatch 3 lacks NFC. The update in the OS will surely impress the users as they might have been waiting for their smartphones to get updated since long. And the changes in the features of the ZenWatch 3 is also expected to be well received by most users.
The Asus ZenWatch 3 is equipped with a 1.39-inches screen which is 61.9% screen-to-body ratio while the pixel resolution of the smartwatch is 400 x 400. It is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and measures a dimension of 45 x 45 x 10.8 mm.
The smartwatch sports a fast battery charging feature which promises the device to get charged up to 60% within just 15 minutes. However, the upgradation in its OS is anticipated to be liked by many.
