Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company Asus is bringing in ZenFone 3 Zoom and ZenFone AR in India within two months. Both the products were announced in January earlier this year at the CES event. The company is looking forward to launching both of the devices in quick succession to each other.
Although which one comes first and which one comes later, has not been revealed by the company as of yet. Also, at what price both the products will be launched has not been revealed. ZenFone 3 Zoom was launched at a price of $399 (approximately Rs. 25,700 in Indian value) and now sells in the USA at a price of $329 (around Rs. 21,200).
ZenFone 3 Zoom is the successor to the company’s 2015 product ZonFone Zoom. The device comes with a dual camera system on the back (12megapixel+12megapixel) comprising of one 25mm wide-angle lens and another 59mm lens with 2.3 opticals zoom. The camera can achieve up to 12X digital zoom. The device is backed by a powerful 5,000mAh battery and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
On the other hand, ZenFone AR is powered by SnapDragon 821 processor. What makes this device unique is the fact that it is the first smartphone in the world to support Google’s mobile augmented reality platform, Tango as well its Daydream VR technology, as per India Today. It is available in two RAM storage variants – 4GB and 8GB and has a native storage capacity of 32GB though 256GB.
Asus is one of the biggest gadget developers in the world currently. Its product includes mobile phones, desktops, laptops, wearables, peripherals, workstations, tablet PCs, servers, graphics card, motherboards, netbooks, optical storage, among others.
Asus Zenfone is a series of Android smartphones designed, marketed and produced by Asus. Asus is currently one of the biggest influencers of mobile markets in India, China, and other Asian countries. As a result, it is being thought that both the devices will be very successful whenever they are launched in India.
