Nubia has been on a roll ever since it received widespread critical and commercial acclaim over the past year or so. The last big launch was the Nubia N1 Lite, more about which you can read here. In what is scheduled to be the company’s first bezel-less phone, a series of stunning photos reveals that Nubia may well be on its way to ensuring that it does not drop out of the smartphone race to the summit.
It is now believed that Nubia‘s upcoming bezel-less smartphone will release two thin handsets with a small top and bottom bezels and almost no side bezels to speak of. The device is shown in the newly leaked render also seems to be identical to the one that featured online last week. Presumably, it has the same origin seeing that the two handsets even seem to be featuring similar lock screens. There is no circular red capacitive Home key which is considered to be a hallmark of handsets created by this Chinese consumer electronics major. The render has also shown off a volume up-down button. It might also be the top of a volume rocker on the right side of the device’s body as well.
The bezel-less display is in vogue ever since the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus showed off their wonderful design to the world. These leaked renders indicate that the Shenzhen, China-based phone vendor is working on a bezel-less device as well. However, the company seems not to be planning to be intent on copying Samsung’s design language. Both the leaked renders of the alleged Nubia-branded device have shown off a screen which seems to feature a standard 16:9 aspect ratio as well. It looks like the top bezel of the phone is approximately two times slimmer than the bottom one, which means that latter bezel is meant to shelter a capacitive Home button, which is where it is different from Samsung’s devices. From what we see so far, a smartphone with a black glossy finish may soon be seen in the very near future.
