The Chinese company is all set to launch the Redmi 4 handset that was originally rolled out back in November 2016. It’s about time the Redmi 4 came to India and now reports are suggesting that the Xiaomi will be launching a Redmi phone and that it’ll be the Redmi 4.
The new smartphone is expected to come at a price tag of Rs 9999, report DNA. The handset offers features like 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 296 pixels per inch and 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. On the front of the memory, the smartphone sports 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is very much expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. As far as the camera is concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 packs 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The device measures 141.30 x 69.60 x 8.90, weighs 156.00 grams, runs Android 6.0. Its dual SIMed phone that comes with a Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. The sensors include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Ambient light sensor and the connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and 4G along with a Bluetooth.
It’s probably worth mentioning that Xiaomi had launched the Xiaomi Mi 6 last year. The Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch of touchscreen display comes with an excellent resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 428 pixels per inch. The handset supports a powerful 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that runs on the latest version of Android.
Speaking of the optics, the Xiaomi Mi 6 packs a 12-megapixel camera and 8-megapixels front camera for taking selfies. The phone has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory that, unfortunately, cannot be expanded. The device measures 145.17 x 70.49 x 7.45, weighs 182.00 grams and is backed by a 3350mAh non-removable battery. Like Redmi 4, Mi 6 is a dual SIMed phone that offers support for Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. The sensors on the phone include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Gyroscope and the Proximity sensor.
As for the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, it was supposed to launch along with the Mi 6 but was reportedly canceled. As per reports, the Mi 6 Plus that is supposed to arrive with a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels. It is rumored to pack 12-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It offers 6GB RAM and 64GB of unexpandable memory. The device will, of course, run the latest Android OS and will supposedly be backed by a powerful 4000mAh non-removable battery. It’ll offer the same connectivity options like the Mi 6 and as for sensors, the Mi 6 Plus will be coming with an Ambient light sensor and a Proximity sensor.
