Huawei has been for the most part very quiet this year and now they have unveiled Honor 8 Pro in India. The device was originally rolled out in April 2017 and offers some really impressive specifications. Although we don’t know the Indian price yet Honor 8 Pro is available in the European market at a cost of EUR 549 which approximately stands for Rs 39,500.
The handset offers the following specifications: a 5.70-inch touchscreen display that comes with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels that sports a PPI of 515 pixels per inch. Under the hood, the device is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor that offers 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which is expandable for up to 356 GB by the use of a microSD card.
As for the optics, the Honor 8 Pro packs a 12-megapixel primary camera that comes on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter using which you can take excellent selfies. The device is backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery and runs Android 7.0. It measures 157.00 x 77.50 x 6.97, weighs 184.00 grams, and accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, and 4G along with Proximity, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and a Gyroscope sensor.
It’s worth mentioning here that the Huawei Honor 9 will be launched in the country in August. As per reports, it’ll sport a 5.15-inch full HD display with 1920 by 1080 pixels with a fingerprint sensor in the front. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is expected to be backed by a 3,200mAh battery with fast charging.
It’ll have two variants with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory with connectivity options like NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, WiFI a/b/g/n/ac, and 4G LTE VoLTE. The handset is available in the Chinese market in the following color Charm Sea Blue, Black, Seagull Gray, and Amber Gold. As for now, we have no idea if all these color variants will be available in India when it launches.
