It looks like Huawei is leaving no stone unturned in their quest for the perfect smartphone, one that will take the world by storm besides fitting into everyone’s moneybags properly. Their new offering, the Huawei Y7 Prime, seems to have launched in Hong Kong. From what little information we have managed to glean from the data available, this seems to be a version of China’s commercially acclaimed Enjoy 7 Plus.

The Huawei Y7 Prime comes with a very sturdy and very reliable metal body which is 8.35mm thick. On the top of the entire thing is a 2.5D glass for extra added protection. The display is a standard sized 5.5” display which is capable of playing a very decent video resolution quality, that of 720p, as well. Expect an IPS display lke any other phone of the segment. Powering the new Huawei Y7 prime is a dated processor, the Snapdragon 435 chipset (8x A53, Adreno 505), which, however, is said to be extremely power efficient as well.
Storage options will include 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage which, overall, leads us to a pretty decent phone.The phone will run the Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 customization.
The new Huawei device will feature excellent photography. Featuring a 12MP main camera (f/2.2, 1.25µm pixels), the front snapper is an excellent 8MP selfie expert camera as well. The main (rear) camera can shoot 1080p video. Below the camera is a well-placed fingerprint reader with a meagre 0.3s reaction time.
