The recently delayed sequel to 2014’s Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor has got a new story trailer, and oh, what a trailer it is. The new video focuses on Talion and Celebrimbor’s fight against Sauron and his army, and the Ring of Power the two have forged figures largely in it. There is a lot happening here, and we are not just talking about all the new characters we get to see in it. The trailer ends with the words “Nothing will be forgotten,” which in our opinion sounds like a reference to the newly reworked Nemesis System. Orcs and vile creatures are a prominent presence too, so take a look for yourself.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War had us excited at its announcement, and the subsequent updates have made us more than happy. While the delay may have been perceived as saddening news for those who were looking forward to August, it is heartening to see that developer Monolith is working hard to perfect it. Monolith has released quite a few trailers since the game’s announcement, including some very insightful walkthroughs like the one that explains the expanded Nemesis System. The importance of the Nemesis Forts are dealt with in much more detail in the video, and you can learn the basics of how to go about conquering them.
Besides the feature that has the potential to make or break the game, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War’s open world also looks fantastic. But it is definitely worth noting that the trailers just keep on getting better. So while we liked the last trailer, the new one has us truly hyped. We see Talion and Celebrimbor using the Ring to build their army of Orcs to march on Mordor, but along his journey he interacts with a number of different characters who may have important roles to play in his quest.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 10.
