Xiaomi is well known for its television sets besides the smartphones it manufactures as well. Now, the latest reports suggest that the smallest Mi TV may be launching on July 18. The new Xiaomi device had already received the 3C certification a few days ago. The July 18 date was recently teased in a poster released by the Chinese giant.
Although the teaser does not reveal the size of the new TV set, this Gizbot report suggests that the new Mi TV will be the smallest of the TV range from Xiaomi till date. It may also be the lightest and the most inexpensive of the series. The poster also poses a question which makes us believe that the TV will be a very small affair. It asks if the user’s bedroom is too small to fit in a TV set, and also, if the rental TV is too heavy to use. Both these questions point out to the small size aspect of the upcoming Mi TV.
The teaser also points out that the new Mi TV will be a very inexpensive device. In fact, the new device’s price may be at par with the 32-inch variant of the Mi TV 4A as well. The other features of this TV are expected to be similar as the ones found on other entries in the existing range.
The 4A is available in sizes of 43 inches, 49 inches, 55 inches, and 65 inches. The TV 4A range has a lot of features including a 4K panel and support for HDR10 as well as the latest UHD HLG. It also boasts of the Dolby Vision format. Powered by a 64-bit Amlogic T962 chip (quad-core) which is clocked at 1.5GHz as well as a Mali 450 GPU, the Mi TV 4A also arrives with 2GB of DDR4 RAM besides 32GB of eMMC (embedded Multi-Media Controller) 5.1 flash storage capabilities.
