Xiaomi will start the sales of its latest device, the Xiaomi Mi 5X, from August 1. After multiple leaks, indicating the dual rear camera setup on the device, that feature has finally been confirmed. Now that Xiaomi has finally announced the new smartphone, we can take a long look at the features of the Mi 5X. We bring you all the confirmed details below.
Xiaomi Mi 5X Specs and Features
The new device is powered by the very powerful and energy efficient Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 SoC. Together with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal or native storage capacity, the Mi 5X will have a decent performance chart as well. The internal memory will be expandable to up to 128GB thanks to a microSD card. Also, the unibody metal design has rounded edges very similar to its flagship cousin, the Xiaomi Mi 6.
The display of the new Xiaomi Mi 5X is very attractive. It has a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p 2.5D curved glass LTPS display and can produce stunning results. There are three navigation buttons on the bottom of the device and it is only 7.3 mm in thickness. The infrared sensor on the device will also be of great help to the users.
Xiaomi Mi 5X Cameras
The new device will also be a photographer’s delight, thanks in large part to the flagship level dual rear camera setup. The rear cameras consist of a 12MP wide-angle lens that has an aperture of f/2.2. Also, there is a secondary 12MP telephoto lens which boasts an aperture of f/2.6. Other camera features include PDAF and dual tone LED flash. The front snapper is a 5MP one, pretty good for selfies and video calling.
The new Xiaomi Mi 5X will be available in three color variants: Black, Gold, and Rose Cold. It is available for 1499 yuan which translates approximately to Rs. 14,000. Like we said before, the device will debut on August 1 in China. Global shipments details have not yet been made public, however.
