Homegrown global electronics giant Videocon has unveiled a new smartphone which runs on the Android Nougat 7.0 platform. Videocon is well-known for its budget devices which are also very good in the long run. It had, in May, launched the Krypton 22 smartphone, something that we had previously covered. Also, the Videocon Delite 11+ sold pretty well, as we had reported. Now, with the Metal Pro 2 being launched at Rs 6,999, the company has a full dossier of budget smartphones.
Videocon Metal Pro 2 Specs and Features
The new device by Videocon has a lot of great specs and features. On board is a 5-inch HD display which will be pretty sharp thanks to the resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. This is an IPS (In-Plane Switching) display and it is supported by MiraVision. Powering the device is a neat, for the budget, 1.2GHz 64bit Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737 processor. This quad-core processor is paired with 2GB RAM besides 16GB of internal storage. Users have the option of expanding the storage to up to 128 GB thanks to a microSD card support. a 2000mAh battery.
Lik we said, the device will run on the Android Nougat platform and the lights will be kept on thanks to a decent 2000mAh battery.
As far as the Videocon Metal Pro 2 camera and optics are concerned, these are pretty satisfactory as well. The rear or primary camera boasts of a 13MP sensor and has autofocus ability, besides an LED flash for better photography. Out front is a 3.2MP camera which will make for better selfies and video calling. The device does not support, unfortunately, a fingerprint scanner.
The Videocon Metal Pro 2 will come in color options of gold and space grey. Besides, this device will hit the offline channels across the country by the end of this month. It will also come with a one-year subscription to Eros Now, will have a Gameloft game, and will have 100 days replacement warranty service.
