We have reported earlier on how the Chinese tech conglomerate, OnePlus was planning to bring the OnePlus 5 Gold variant exclusively in Amazon, prior to a couple of days. Now it seems that the ‘flagship killer’ will receive one more edition- the OnePlus 5 Special Edition. The smartphone developer has recently sent out invites of the new launch which is likely to occur in Paris.
From the invitation post, one can have a good look at the details revealed by the company. The invitation carries a French designer’s name, Castelbajac. It seems that the Chinese smartphone firm is joining hands with Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in order to showcase the OnePlus 5 Special edition, as reported by Gizmochina. The invitation says, “when the style meets its machine, one night in September in Paris.” In addition, the invite stretches on the word “machine” which likely hints at the imminent launch of the devices, say for September 19?
One Plus 5 was launched in the month of June and was initially available in two color variants- Slate Gray and Midnight Black. Eventually, the tech world received one more variant with the introduction of the Gold edition. It seems that OnePlus 5 Special edition will definitely get unveiled with improvised key features when compared to the tradition OnePlus 5.
In terms of key specs, OnePlus 5 boasts 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display offering a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. At the heart, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset. OnePlus 5 comes in two memory variants, while one comes with a whopping RAM of 6 GB and a native storage of 64 GB, the other sports 128 GB storage with an 8 GB of RAM.
On the optics front, the smartphone features a dual rear camera module of 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel sensors. In terms of the selfie shooter, OnePlus 5 flaunts a whopping camera of 16-megapixel. The juice is provided by a powerful 3,300 mAh battery. Other features include a fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port and more.
