There is a big HTC event upcoming on November 2. Initially, we had reported that the HTC U11 Plus could well be launched on that day. Now, however, reports say that the HTC U11 Plus is not likely to launch on the day. Only the HTC U11 Life will see the light of day on November 2. In case you missed it, we have previously covered the HTC U11 Life in some detail.

The HTC U11 Life may not be as flagship-like as the HTC U11 Plus but t certainly has some strength to stand on its own feet.

Remember that the HTC U11 Life is an ambitious phone designed under the Android One plan, as we had reported. Noted tipster Evan Blass was the one who pointed out that the HTC U11 Plus would not be launched on that day; instead, the HTC U11 Life was en route.

HTC U11 Life Specs and Features

The HTC U11 Life is definitely a climbdown from its more accomplished sibling, the HTC U11 Life. This mid-range device comes under the Android One program. Google’s Android One program has, since this year, shifted from being entry-level phones to ones which are slightly improved versions. The entry-level category is presumed to be covered thanks to the Android Go program.

Android Go is designed specifically for Android devices which have 1GB RAM or less.

The HTC U11 Life is set to be the first Android One phone which will run the latest Android 8.0 Oreo right out of the box. This HTC device is set to have a 5.2” FHD screen, besides 3GB of RAM combined with 32GB of storage. The chipset under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 while the battery will be a pretty decent 2,600mAh one.

As far as the photography and optics features are concerned, there are 16MP cameras on both back and front sides. These will have 4K video recording abilities, HDR, as well as RAW formats. The HTC U11 Life will also boast the IP67 rating, besides connectivity options like NFC and Bluetooth 5.0. It will retain the Edge Sense technology and will let go of the 3.5mm audio jack.
