The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was widely appreciated and was pretty popular when it made its global debut a few months ago. We had covered the Indian debut of the device right here. Experts agree that it was Xiaomi which was the first company to kick off the full-screen display design craze. Apparently, the Chinese behemoth has something else on its minds right now as there have been certain leaked prototypes of the next-generation Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 available on the Internet.
The September-launched bezel-less Xiaomi device was the first of a great many phones to have a bigger screen and a full-screen display as well. It was also considered successful. Now, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has been revealed in a few prototypes on the social networking site Weibo. The first thing that the report suggests, as evidenced by this report by GizmoChina, is the fact that the latest device could sport a secondary display positioned on the rear.
The front portions of the leaked prototypes indicate that Xiaomi could once again try and recreate the full-screen display magic. The bezels are almost non-existent and it gives some serious design challenges to the other manufacturers of full-screen design phones as well.
As we all know, the screen-to-body ratio of the Mi Mix 2 was significantly increased in the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 when compared to the original Mi Mix. The ratio was a splendid 93 percent in the second generation of the phones and it is widely believed that the ratio will be even better the next year, when the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is expected to make its debut.
Until such time comes, however, when we are able to bring you a more concrete report about the phones, you are encouraged to take this with a healthy pinch of salt. Remember to watch this space for more updates.
