Launched as a bundled offer, an ‘effective’ Vodafone smartphone with a cost-friendly price tag has been launched in the Indian markets. Dubbed the Itel A20, the new Vodafone smartphone is an entry-level 4G smartphone, much like the phones launched by the telecom operators like the Airtel Intex Aqua Lions N1, JioPhone, and the likes. On Tuesday, Vodafone India announced its partnership with the Transsion Group-owned of China, the Itel Mobile and hence launched this Itel A20 smartphone at an ‘effective price’ of Rs. 1,590.
Associate Director of Vodafone India, Avneesh Khosla, stated in a press statement, “We are delighted to partner with Itel to hand hold customers as they transition from feature phone to smartphone and provide a rich experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G. We firmly believe, that affordable handsets along with pocket-friendly data prices will accelerate data adoption. The exciting cashback offers will make this digital journey a more affordable and enriching one for our customers.”
On contrary, Gaurav Tikoo the Sr. VP of Transsion India reportedly stated, “At itel, we are committed to making the 4G smartphone experience accessible to the masses as well as to boost the value proposition offered by all our products. Talking about the key specs and features, the Itel A20 sports a 4-inch WVGA display and supports a screen resolution of 480×800 pixels. Underneath, the smartphone comes with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. This 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone is capable of supporting dual-SIM cards (Normal+Micro). Powering the handset, there’s a 1700mAh battery. As per memory, the phone features an 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB by using a microSD card slot. On the optics front, the Itel A20 phone comes with the inclusion of 2-megapixel rear camera with flash alongside a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front camera.
As per pricing, the Vodafone‘s Itel A20 device is available at 1,590 and is available in three color variants- Champagne Gold, Dark Blue, and Silver.
