TAGG, which is an Indian manufacturer of devices, has announced the launch of a new earphone device. Called the TAGG SoundGear 500, these earphones are priced at Rs 1,599. These earphones have been touted as dual-driver earphones and will be made available via the company’s official website. It will also be made available via the third-party sites like Paytm, Myntra, and Amazon India.
The earphone and headphone market has been growing at an exponential rate in India as more and more people realize that a good, and probably expensive, earphone set is good not only for the sound quality but also for the comfort it provides as well as the protection it offers to the auditory system. Very high volumes coupled with extremely high frequencies can be detrimental to human ears, scientists have warned repeatedly.
The TAGG SoundGear 500 Dual-Driver Earphones have the unique advantage of having two drivers, which TAGG, the manufacturer claims, is better able to differentiate and modify the sound output. TAGG also claims that these devices will be able to separate the high frequencies from the mid-level ones and the bass. In order to obtain much better sound quality, these wired earphones also come with a Gold Plated 3.5mm headphone jack that is fitted to a very appreciable 1.2-meter long cord. Nowadays, cordless earphones, including some manufactured by SoundBot, are the rage. Having said that, Bluetooth or wireless headphones often need just that extra bit of love and affection.
Like most other similar devices, there is a multifunction button pat next to the microphone. This can also be used to accept calls, as well as ending them. The button will also let you play or pause any music that is being played with a single press. Pressing it twice or triple pressing lets the user switch between the playable tracks.
With three different sets of ear tip sizes as well as a nano-coating technology to aid in waterproofing, as well as to render it sweat-proof, this is one earphone by TAGG that is worth every penny of the Rs 1,599 price tag.
