At the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2018, Acer has unveiled the new Nitro 5, a new gaming laptop meant exclusively for casual gamers. With decent specs and a very fair price tag, this new laptop will expectedly be a fan favorite. We have earlier covered the Nitro 5 and it is a very decent device. The Acer Nitro 5 Spin too is now in India.
Speaking at the CES 2018, the corporate types at Acer said that the device had been manufactured keeping in mind the needs and wants of the customers. These customers will also have the luxury of having a gaming laptop but with a fairly decent price tag. On the surface, the device has a 15-inch screen and is powered by Windows 10.
The laptop is powered by the latest-generation AMD Radeon RX560 graphics which makes for better and faster rendering, besides improved lighting and a vastly improved texture details. Also beneficial to the users will be the latest AMD Ryzen mobile processors which can be used for gaming, as well as content creation and even multi-tasking applications.
The Nitro 5 has an internal solid-state drive of up to 512 GB, which will store all of your movies, video games etc with ease and comfort. The DDR4 RAM of up to 32 GB combined with the available SSD will ensure much faster booting and loading time. Acer’s new NitroSense utility will help operate the CPU/GPU, and will also adjust the cooling fan speeds via the new feature called Acer CoolBoost to keep them in optimal shape.
Plus, the new Acer Nitro 5 also has a rather fast and very reliable dual-stream 802.11ac wireless technology, a great variety of ports, some of which include a hyper-fast USB Type-C, a superb HDMI 2.0, and Gigabit Ethernet, for obvious reasons.
As far as the Acer Nitro 5 price is concerned, it will be on sale in North America starting from April where the prices will start at US$799 and in EMEA in April, the device will launch with prices starting at €1,099. Stay tuned for further updates.
