Leaked Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Images Sans 3.5mm Audio Jack

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3, which is said to replace last year’s Mi Max 2 is apparently under development. Leaks after leaks have surfaced online with the indication of the smartphone to bestow a mammoth 7-Inch Full HD Display. In fact, we had previously covered a couple of news pertaining to the forthcoming device. But today’s leak points out a couple of images of the alleged Mi Max 3 device

The leaked images show the front and top view of the phablet. And nothing like the last times, this time too, the smartphone is expected to sport a full-screen design. Other than its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be fitted with a larger screen. According to the report via Gizbot, the same device appears to be slightly elongated, so there could be a possibility of a display carrying an aspect ratio of 18:9. Speculations have been rife and from the previous reports, it has been claimed that the Xiaomi’s next phablet will feature minuscule bezels. However, through the leaked images, it is still not clear whether or not the bezels will be narrower if we compare to the previously launched Mi Max 2.

From the leak, placements of selfie camera, earpiece, and the sensor have been retained as we have seen on its predecessor. The second leaked image, however, shows the top edge of Mi Max 3 phablet. And from the view, one can only spot the IR blaster, meaning that Xiaomi has either move the 3.5mm audio jack to the device’s bottom edge or has decided to ditch the feature completely. If what we think Xiaomi has done (when the latter is concerned), the USB Type-C port might be used to connect the earphones.

While some sources claim that Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will come with a 7-inches display (full-screen), Gizbot reports that it will bear 6.99-inch display. There would be either the Snapdragon 660 processor or the Snapdragon 630 processor, under the hood, which will be coupled with two memory variants: 3GB of RAM + 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM + 128GB of default storage.

As far as the optics department is concerned, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be equipped with dual rear cameras, although the configuration is yet to be known. Powering the phablet, there will be a massive 5,500mAh battery which will feature Quick Charge 3.0 support. The pricing indicates that Mi Max 3 may come with a price tag of 1,499 Yuan (~Rs. 15,050) and 1,599 Yuan (~Rs. 16,050) for both models.
