The latest Apple iMac Pro which was launched in June last year at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2017) is now finally available in India with a price tag of Rs 4,15,000. It is termed as the most powerful Mac ever by Apple and will be available across all Apple retail stores as well as online through the official Apple India website.
The Apple iMac Pro features a 27-inch 5K Retina display with a resolution of 5120 X 2280 pixels and a powerful octa-core CPU. It is to be noted that only the octa-core variant of the iMac Pro is available in India, skipping the 10-core and 18-core variants. The higher variants may be available later depending on the sale of the 8-core variant. It will be powered by a 3.2GHz Intel Xeon W processor with an additional Turbo Boost up to a maximum of 4.2GHz. It will feature a massive 32GB RAM which is configurable up to 128GB and a mammoth 1TB of internal storage space, which is also configurable up to 4TB. It will also feature Radeon Pro Vega 56 Graphics processor unit and will run on macOS High Sierra out of the box.
Coming to the connectivity front, the device will ship with four USB 3.0 ports, four USB Type-C ports, an Ethernet connector, Bluetooth 4.1, SDXC card slot with additional support for UHS-II along with the standard 3.5mm audio jack. The 5K Retina display supports 1 billion colors as well as 1080p HD FaceTime support.
The iMac Pro will be available only in one color option of Space Grey in India currently. The company may ship other color variants later. It will also come with Space Grey colored Magic keyboard with Numeric keypad. power cable, USB connector cable and Magic Mouse 2. The dimensions of the new device are 20.3-inches height, 25.6-inches width and weigh about 9.7kg.
