Recently, LG said that it has been taking a break from the annual launch cycle. however, it doesn’t really shed lights on the fact that there would absolutely be no flagship smartphones showing up this year. Claims have pointed out earlier that it is expected to launch a new range of devices, including more variants of the G as well as V Series devices.
Earlier this week, the company reportedly stated that it would come up with a brand new LG V30 edition, dubbed the V30s, recent rumors indicate that LG is gearing up to unleash a brand new flagship phone which has been codenamed: Judy. According to the leaks so far, LG was believed to launch the flagship smartphone which would success the LG G6, at the MWC tech show in the year 2018. However, it now seems that the South Korean tech giant will bring the LG G6’s successor later this year, might be in June.
Reports currently shed lights on the fact that LG is believed to pack a 6.1-inch with 18:9 aspect ratio screen in LG Judy. From the report via NDTV Gadget360, the MLCD+ technology (with white sub-pixels) which is used in the display will be capable of providing a high 800-nit brightness as well as consumes 35 percent less power than what the typical IPS LCD panel offers. It is also expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which will be paired with 4GB of RAM.
In the camera department, the LG Judy is expected to feature a dual rear camera module of 16-megapixel along with an aperture of f/1.6. There will be a 64GB of internal storage and along with that, it will come with the IP68 dust and the waterproof rating. Other features also include stereo speakers, wireless charging, HDR support, digital assistant as well as voice recognition.
The AI camera technology of LG V30 may also get introduced to this particular handset. LG might unveil this device in June ‘when the time is right’. So we are four months ahead of the launch as of now. More news will surface in the coming days, to know more stay tuned to us.
