The MWC 2018 tech show is right knocking at the door, and as we are a couple of days ahead of it, several rumors and anticipations have been doing the rounds pertaining to the upcoming smartphones. While Samsung is set to launch its 2018 flagships, the current news speaks about the Finnish tech giant, HMD Global, which has already started sending out the media invites for a conference set to happen on 25th of February at Barcelona this year.
A slew of devices is set to unveil from the Finland based tech giant. And in the meantime, the existence of more models has recently popped online. We have already come across the Nokia 8 Sirocco moniker which has been claimed to be the alleged Nokia 9. Also, the device was spotted in an official certification as well as APK teardown. A report by NokiaPowerUser has popped online which tips on the fact that a device with the name Nokia 8 Pro is also under development.
It is said to be one of the flagships to be launched by Nokia this year and is expected to hit the market sometime in August or September this year. It also said that the previously rumored Nokia 10 does not exist and that the Nokia 8 Pro is the one that was believed to be the Nokia 10 in the earlier claims.
Having reported about the making of Nokia 8 Pro, it has not been difficult for us to guess that the same device will make use of the most recent Qualcomm chipset, touted as the Snapdragon 845. The suffix Pro also reportedly indicates that it will arrive with a powerful and even more advanced and enhanced camera specs as well as other innovations. If the report is anything to go by, the Nokia 8 Pro will also sport the highly-anticipated Penta-lens camera module alongside a rotating zoom camera developed by Zeiss.
The Nokia 8 Pro from what we have gathered via the leaked sketch, it is expected to bestow a fingerprint sensor just below the primary camera module on the rear panel. The Noia 8 Pro’s design is believed to be alike to the Nokia 9 which will feature 3D glass on both its front as well as the rear panel. The Nokia 8 Pro might also arrive as a full-screen smartphone with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
