LG has announced a new device in its X series of devices. The new smartphone has been dubbed as LG X4. You may be aware that LG had already announced the X4+ smartphone at the beginning of this year. The X4 comes with similar specs and features like the LG X4+ but runs on the older Android 7.1.2 Nougat version.
The latest device from LG will be available to the people of South Korea first of all and then would be launched globally. It has been priced at 297,000 won (Rs 17,800 approximately). LG has also confirmed that the new device will be available in two color variants of Black and Gold.
Coming to the specifications of the LG X4, it sports a 5.3-inch full HD IPS display screen with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor along with Adreno 308 graphics unit. It is backed up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space which can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card. On the optics front, the device boasts an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The latest device runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat version out of the box.
The LG X4 also features a fingerprint sensor just below the rear camera module. This fingerprint sensor will help in clicking selfies. The company has also announced that the fingerprint sensor can also be used to capture a screenshot of the viewing screen by clicking it twice. The device also comes with LG pay support, a payment option by the company. LG Pay is a payment and digital wallet service by LG, which can be used for making online payments by LG customers just like Samsung Pay.
On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and GPS. It also features the standard 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and HD DMV TV service. It is fueled by a massive 3000 mAh battery that is enough to last through the day with just one charging session.
