HMD Global, the official license holder of Nokia, launched the Nokia 6 smartphone in India last year. It was launched with a price tag of Rs 14,999. Now as per reports, the 3GB variant of the Nokia 6 has received a price cut of Rs 1500. It is now available at a price of Rs 13,499. The latest move by the company could be to make way for the Nokia 6 (2018) version that is likely to launch in India soon, after being unveiled at the recently concluded MWC 2018.
The Nokia 6 is presently listed on the e-commerce portal Amazon India. It is also available with 12 months EMI options. It is available in three color variants of Matte Black, Silver, and Tempered Blue.
To recall the specifications of the Nokia 6, it comes with a display screen of 5.5-inches with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels. The phone features a curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with Adreno 505 GPU. It was launched with Android 7.0 Nougat version but has now received the latest Android Oreo update.
The Nokia 6 comes with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage space which can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card. Coming to the camera department, it features a 16-megapixel sensor on the rear panel with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it features an 8-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calling. It is fueled by a massive 3000 mAh battery under the hood and it also sports a fingerprint sensor that is embedded in the home button.
Talking about the Nokia 6 (2018) variant which was unveiled by HMD Global at MWC 2018 held in Barcelona, one of the biggest highlight is that, it an Android One smartphone. The fingerprint sensor of the phone has been moved to the back panel just below the camera module for easy access. Apart from that, the device also comes with a bothie feature. The price of the phone has not been revealed by the company yet.
