The Apple iPad (2018) with a 9.7-inch display which was available for pre-order on Flipkart last week has reportedly started selling in India. The latest iPad model is also expected to be made available on Apple stores and retail outlets shortly. Presently the iPad (2018) 32GB Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+ Cellular models are available for purchase on India’s largest e-commerce portal Flipkart. The other variants of the device are also expected to go on sale on Flipkart and elsewhere very soon. The latest 9.7-inch iPad model was launched in India in March and comes with a price tag of Rs 28,000 for the 32GB variant. The iPad also supports Apple pencil which is currently being sold separately at a price of Rs 7,600.
Buyers will also get an instant discount of 5% on Flipkart if the iPad order with Axis Bank Buzz Credit cards. No-Cost EMI options are also available for customers of some major banks in India starting at Rs 3,112 only. For a list of the banks, you need to visit the official Flipkart website. The iPad model is currently available in three color variants of Silver, Gold and Space Grey.
Coming to the specifications, the iPad (2018) comes with similar specifications to the iPad (2017). However, it sports a larger 9.7-inch Retina IPS display with a resolution of 2048 X 1536 pixels. It also comes with Apple Pencil Stylus support and is powered by Apple A10 Fusion SoC which is much more powerful than the Apple Fusion A9 that was packed on the iPad (2017) model.
The new Apple iPad also comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.4 aperture. It also sports a 1.2 megapixel FaceTime HD camera with a f/2.2 aperture. On the connectivity front, the iPad comes with 4G LTE support, A-GPS, Wifi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and a lightning port. Apart from these, the iPad also comes with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and includes an ambient sensor, accelerometer, barometer, digital compass and a three-axis gyroscope.
