Along with the Moto G6 series of smartphones, Motorola is also expected to launch the Moto E5 series. However, it is not yet clear whether the company will unveil both the series of devices together or not. As per earlier reports, the Moto E5 Plus was expected to come with 18:9 aspect ratio display and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Now the smartphone has been reportedly spotted on GeekBench benchmarking website.
The benchmark listing has shed some light on the specifications of the upcoming device. As per the listing spotted by Nashville Chatter Glass, the Moto E5 Plus secured a score of 653 points in the single-core test, while it secured 1835 points in the multi-core test conducted by GeekBench. The listing also revealed that the Moto E5 will ship with 3GB of RAM and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8937 quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.4GHz. The smartphone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo flavor out of the box and is likely to receive the Android 8.1 update over the air, after its official launch.
As per earlier leaks, the smartphone is expected to feature a 3.5mm audio connector and a USB Type-C charging port. The power button and the volume rockers may be placed on the right edge of the smartphone. The smartphone is also expected to house a fingerprint scanner that will be embedded in the company’s logo on the rear panel.
The two other smartphones in the Moto E5 series called Moto E5 and the Moto E5 Play was earlier spotted in Indonesia. The smartphones are expected to be launched in the Asian markets first, followed by European and American markets.
Earlier reports have also confirmed that the handsets may be fueled by massive 4,000mAh batteries that can power the devices up to 3 days with a single charge cycle. The released date of the Moto E5 series has not been announced by Motorola yet but it is quite likely that the devices will be unveiled alongside the Moto G6 series.
