Google is reportedly working on two of its next-generation Pixel smartphones. Dubbed as Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the smartphones are expected to be launched in October going by the launch pattern of the company. It had earlier launched the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL in October last year. While the launch is still far away, we do have some information about the specifications of the two devices.
Earlier reports had claimed that Google wants to increase its revenue share in the market with these upcoming devices. So it is most likely to include attractive features in order to compete with other smartphone manufacturers that already offer great features on their devices.
As per a report by Bloomberg, the company is expected to launch the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL in October this year. It has also claimed that Verizon is going to be the exclusive carrier partner for Pixel devices in the US for the third consecutive year.
Apart from the launch date and availability, the report has also claimed that the Google Pixel 3 XL which is the larger variant will sport a dual camera setup on the front panel. It also said that both the front-facing cameras will be housed inside the notch on the top of the display panel.
The Google Pixel 3 XL is also expected to arrive with an edge-to-edge display with a thick bottom bezel. The display will also feature an in-display Notch just like the iPhone X. The Google Pixel 3, on the other hand, is expected to some with similar design elements to Google Pixel 2 sans the notch and edge-to-edge display. The two selfie cameras will be positioned on the top bezel of the Pixel 3.
Both the devices are also expected to arrive with stereo speakers on the front. It may be positioned on the thick bottom bezel of the front panel. In addition, the devices will be running on Android P out of the box that boasts better AI capabilities.
