The Google Pixel 3 and the Google Pixel 3 XL has been in the headlines for the last couple of weeks. The upcoming Google smartphone is expected to have similar design elements to its predecessor except for the fingerprint scanner that has been placed between the camera module and the LED flash. The smartphone is also said to feature a single camera on the rear panel instead of a dual camera setup that has become a common trend of premium smartphones these days.

The leaked renders courtesy of XDA Developers shows the presence of a notch comprising of two rounds of a camera like sensors on either side of the earpiece. This indicates that the smartphone may arrive with a dual front camera setup for it could also be a 3D secure unlocking feature.

Apart from these, the smartphone can also be seen to sport a chin on the front panel. This makes us believe that it will not be an edge-to-edge display device. The front panel can also be seen to house one of the front facing speakers near the bottom. Maybe this is why it features a large bottom bezel. The images also show that the device features 4GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage space. It is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

As per renowned tipster Roland Quandt, Google is reportedly working on a mid-range smartphone that may be launched in May 2019. It is said to be equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 710 processor.

Quandt quoted on his tweet “Off to Taiwan for @computex_taipei today, but here’s a tidbit for ya: Google is working on a “mobile” device based on the Snapdragon 710 currently scheduled for launch in the 1st half of 2019. Sounds like this might be the (or one of them) upcoming mid-range Pixel phone.”
