HMD Global had launched the Nokia X6 smartphone in China last month. It is now available in the country with a price tag of CYN 1,299. Ever since its release, rumors were doing the rounds that the company may launch a global variant of the Nokia X6 soon for the Asian, US and European markets. Now, finally, the rumors may turn true as the global variant of the device has been found to be listed on the global website of the company. This indicates that the launch may take place very soon.
The company listed the Nokia X6 on its global website for a short span of time and later removed it. But the folks at Nokia Latest have managed to get a cached version of the page from Google that shows the listing. This indicates that HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia smartphones may launch the device soon for the global market. Although it is unclear whether the Nokia X6 will make it to the Indian markets.
The Chinese variant of the Nokia X6 comes with a display notch in front, dual rear camera module, and a fingerprint sensor. Three different variants of the smartphone are now available in China in terms of RAM and internal storage. The base variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage comes with a price tag of Rs 1.299, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant cost CYN 1,499. The most premium variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage comes with a price of CYN 1,699.
To recall the specifications, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It features a 5.8-inch full HD+ display screen with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 636 SoC with three different variants of RAM and internal storage. On the optics front, the device features a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, the device features a 16-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling.
