HMD Global had recently sent out media invites for a launch event to be held in the country on August 21. At the launch event, the company is expected to unveil the Nokia 6.1 Plus. Now, it has been revealed that the latest offering from the company is going to be a Flipkart exclusive in India. The Indian e-commerce website has released a video teaser for the launch event featuring musicians, Shankar, Ehsaan, and Loy. Although the video does not reveal which smartphone is going to be launched, it can be confirmed that it going to be the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

In the video, Shankar Mahadevan sings the famous Nokia tune and hints at a launch event to be held on August 21. Details about the price and availability are expected to be revealed tomorrow at the event. To recall, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is the global variant of the Nokia X6 launched in China back in May this year.
To recall the specifications, the Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2280 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is protected on the top by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and also features a display notch. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 636 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. It houses a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel that also supports the Face Unlock feature. The device comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be further upgraded to a maximum of 400GB via a micro-SD card.
On the optics front, the Nokia 6.1 Plus features a dual rear camera module with a 16-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary monochrome sensor. On the front, it features a 16-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling. It is powered by a 3060mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
