Apple iPhone XS Has Lower Battery Capacity and More RAM than iPhone X

Apple unveiled its lineup of 2018 iPhone models last week which includes iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and a cheaper variant called iPhone XR. The new models come with some upgraded features than the ones found on last year’s Apple iPhone X. The features include faster A12 processor chips, improved IP68 water resistance rating, improved rear camera modules, and a new Gold color option. Now a new report has revealed the battery and RAM capacities of the two flagship models of this year.

As per a report by MyDrivers, all the three 2018 iPhone models have been spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA. The listing shows that the Apple iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max features 4GB of RAM which is 1GB more than last year’s Apple iPhone X. The affordable Apple iPhone XR comes with 3GB of RAM.

Coming to the battery specifications, Apple iPhone XS with model number A2100 features a 2,658mAh battery unit while the iPhone XS Max with model number A2104 features a 3,174mAh battery unit under the hood. The affordable Apple iPhone XR features a 3,174mAh battery unit under the hood and carries model number A2108. The report has claimed that the affordable iPhone model boasts the best battery life as it features an LCD display that uses less power than the OLED panels.

Just after the launch of the three iPhone models, GeekBench listing of all the three devices was spotted online. This listing reveals the RAM capacities of all the three models. As per the listing, the Apple iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max features 4GB of RAM while the affordable iPhone XR model features 3GB of RAM.

The iPhone XS and Apple iPhone XS Max are expected to start shipping from September 21. Notably, pre-order for both the models had started from September 14, just a couple of days after the launch by Apple. The affordable Apple iPhone XR is expected to start shipping from October 26 and pre-order will be available from October 19.
