Notably this the first Apple iPad Pro that does not feature the 3.5mm headphone jack and comes with a USB Type-C port instead.

Coming to the price, the iPad Pro 2018 with 11-inch display and 12.9-inch displays will be available in 64GB. 256GB, 512GB and 1TB variants. The 11-inch iPad Pro 2018 has a starting price of $799 in the US while the 12.9-inch model has a starting price of $999. In India, the starting price of the 11-inch model is Rs 71,900 while for the 12.9-inch model it is Rs 89,900. The Apple iPad Pro 2018 pre-orders will start from today in the US along with forty other countries. In India, it will be launched at a later date which will be announced in due course of time by Apple.

Talking about the specifications, the Apple iPad Pro 2018 models feature an 11-inch or 12.9-inch LCD ProMotion Liquid Retina display with rounded corners which uses the Pixel Masking technology first used on the iPhone XR. Both the models have a display refresh rate of 120Hz and also look quite similar to its predecessors.

Both the new iPad Pro 2018 models are powered by the latest Apple A12 Bionic 7nm SoC. The SoC has an inbuilt 8-core CPU and a 7-core GPU. The latter offers almost 2X the graphical performance provided by the Apple A11X chips found on last year’s models. The iPad Pro 2018 now comes with up to 1TB of storage space.

The new iPad Pro 2018 models also include Face ID support via TrueDepth camera housed on the tablet’s top bezel. Face ID technology brings support for Animoji and Emojis and it works both in the portrait and landscape modes. The new models also feature support for Apple iPhone X like gestures as the home button has been removed. This is also the first time that the iPad Pro models feature a USB Type-C port instead of a Lightning port.
