OnePlus 6T was launched globally just a few days ago and now it has started receiving a new update to bring new features and bug fixes. The latest OxygenOS 9.0.4 update brings improvements to Nightscape mode and also adds a Studio Lighting feature to the camera. Alongside these features, it also brings new navigational gestures along with the November Android Security patch. Separately, OnePlus is also rolling out a new OxygenOS Open Beta 6 update for the OnePlus 6 which also brings the Nightscape mode and Studio Lighting feature.
The OxygenOS 9.0.4 update for the OnePlus 6T comes with a size of 137MB and the official changelog states it brings a new Screen Unlock experience along with new navigational gestures, improvement to the Nightscape mode, introduction of a Studio Lighting feature to the camera and also includes the November Android Security patch. The update also brings some minor bug fixes and stability improvements. All OnePlus 6T users should receive the update in the coming days and you can also check for it manually by going to Settings> Software Updates.
Meanwhile, OnePlus 6 users have also started to receive an OxygenOS Open Beta 6 update that brings the new features of the OnePlus 6T to the OnePlus 6. The key features include improvements to the Nightscape mode, introduction of Studio Lighting feature to the camera. The official changelog states that the update brings new navigational gestures, improved screenshot experience, new UI for About Phone, November Security patch, new Google search box design and improved zooming gesture features. You can download the latest update by visiting the official website of OnePlus and following the flashing instructions.
The update for both the devices also includes the November Android Security patch. Interestingly, Google is yet to release the monthly security bulletin so we cannot speculate exactly what fixes the patch will bring. The OnePlus 6T goes to sale in India from today and it will be available in Midnight Black and Mirror Black color options.
