Chinese electronics company Xiaomi’s latest flagship Xiaomi Redmi 4A is available for pre-order from Friday, 19th May at 12 PM exclusively at Mi.com. Priced at Rs. 5,999, the company has said that the device will be shipped within five days for those who pre-order it now. However, the option for cash on delivery is not available, as the entire payment will need to be made online.
Running on MIUI 8 based on Android Marshmallow, Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a hybrid dual-SIM card slot. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC along with the Adreno 308 GPU.
Having a 5-inch (720*1280 pixels) display, the device weighs in at 131.5gm and measures 139.5*70.4*8.5mm. Speaking of its storage options, it comes with 2GB RAM and an option for both 16B or 32GB internal memory. It will have options for microSD slot for storage expansion of up to 128GB, as per NDTV Gadget 360 Degrees.
Coming to its camera, it will sport a 13megapixel primary camera with an f2.2 aperture capable of full HD video recording and a 5megapixel secondary camera. Xiaomi Redmi 4A will be backed by a 3,120mAh battery and will have a polycarbonate body.
It will have options for 4G, WiFi, GP, VoLTE, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.1 and IR port. The device will also have multiple sensors including gyroscope, infrared, accelerometer, ambient light, among others. It is currently available in Dark Grey, Gold and Rose Gold color variants.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A was launched two months ago in March this year. It is the second smartphone from Xiaomi this year after Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
The news comes just three days after the company launched its recent flagship Xiaomi Redmi 4, which is Xiaomi’s third smartphone of 2017.
Xiaomi, which was founded six years ago in 2010 by Chinese entrepreneur Lei Jun, has come a long way from where it started and is currently among the top five smartphone sellers in India now.
