The Blackberry KEYone, one of Blackberry’s highest rates device, is set for its India launch on August 1. The Blackberry KEYone had earlier performed exceedingly well in our face off against its cousin, the Blackberry PRIV. The device was earlier set for a May 31 launch. However, the August 1 event will ultimately kick off the KEYone’s Indian journey.
Blackberry has already set out press invites for the event. With the tagline, “Do more. Different,” the Indian sales pitch is the same as the global sales tone. The BlackBerry KEYone was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress early this year. The new device has been manufactured by TCL. As with other Blackberry devices, the KEYone too has a physical keyboard, which means that the user has the option of both the keyboard and the touchscreen display.
Blackberry KEYone Specs and Features
The new BlackBerry KEYone has a 4.5-inch FHD 1080p display. Under the hood and at the heart of the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. The KEYone has on board 3GB of RAM and will boast of 32GB of native storage space. This internal storage space will be further expandable up to 2TB thanks to a dedicated microSD card.
As far as the imaging and photography department is concerned, there is a 12MP main rear camera while the front snapper will be an 8MP selfie camera at the front. The front snapper has a f/2.2 aperture. A 3505mAh battery will juice the device. Like most flagship devices nowadays, the KEYone’s battery will support the quick charging capability. There is one extra feature as well: there is a new battery saving mode called Boost. While charging, this mode will switch on and the process will be faster.
We expect that the new Blackberry KEYone will be priced at around Rs 50,000 as the model comes for around $549 worldwide. As more details emerge following the August 1 launch, we will keep you updated.
